5.10 Rogue VSM Womens Shoe Review
At first I thought these shoes had it all – 510 rubber and quality, tight soft fit for smearing, cheap and comfy.
I guess the ‘comfy’ bit should have given it away though – despite being pretty cheap, I thought it was going to be a winner on my local bouldering wall, but alas it doesn’t quite cut the mustard. To be fair, I think that I’d been taken in by the price and comfiness of a shoe that also had the 510 brand, thinking that they’d just simply tried to make something a bit more affordable, but I think that really it lacks the technical boost I need to stick on tiny smears.
Compared with my old yellow Evolve Rockstars they are not as sticky, and don’t have good edges. I quite like them though – again probably because it’s quite nice to put something on to climb in that is not painful from the word go. I think I’ll get a lot out of them on longer routes when they need to be on my feet for a while, but I won’t be winning the Glossop Wall competition without my trusty Rockstars!
