Emily is a qualified Mountain Leader who, by day, works for an environmental charity supporting young people into jobs and helping people deal with fuel poverty.
Spending hours searching for funding and writing business plans means Emily is always keen to see projects grow, and new initiatives flourish. As a mountain leader Emily works a lot helping people build their skills and confidence getting into the great outdoors. She loves an excuse to get out for long days out in the mountains and loves a good overseas adventure. Climbing mostly indoors Emily does however love a good multi pitch adventure outdoors, providing someone else is leading!
Emily has recently visited Nepal and had a wonderfully epic experience on Mera Peak. She is a Mountain Rescue team member, which she somehow manages to fit into her spare time.
Emily supports Womenclimb in variety of ways, helping with policy and paperwork, providing guidance and acting as an ambassador. She also occasionally writes reviews and articles.
