FAQ's
Can I bring my dog to the meetup?
Please read our info about dogs at meetups if you are considering bringing a dog to a Womenclimb meetup or event.
I’ve never climbed before, is this for me?
Yes it is! This course is for anyone who wants to try outdoor climbing, or who has climbed outdoors before and wants to boost their confidence.
Can you hire out kit?
Usually we are able to hire kit, but due to COVID-19, we are not currently hiring kit, due to the logistics. Places like Decathlon and Rock & Run sometimes have good deals for entry-level climbing equipment.
Will the session run if there are only 2 or 3 people signed up?
We aim to make our sessions as affordable as we can. To do this, our sessions can currently only run if all places on the course are taken, so we reserve the right to cancel or postpone sessions that aren’t fully booked. We will let you know if this happens.
Who is the host / instructor?
This day is being coached by Sam Leary and Cath Wilson at Leading Edge. If you don’t know them already, these are highly qualified and experienced instructors who have worked with Womenclimb on many events and meetups. You can find out more on their website: Leading Edge Mountaineering
