Mindful Movement & Expressive Art for climbers: 1/3

Would you like to feel more in tune with your body when you climb? 

Join Womenclimb and Julia Fry for a session of mindful movement and expressive art. During this session you will have the opportunity to notice yourself and your body, a skill which helps us as climbers to enjoy our climbing and to get into a flow state. You will be guided by Julia in a relaxed and friendly environment, so you can feel confident that you will be welcomed in a non-judgmental space. You may mute yourself and turn off your video for some or all of the session if you wish to participate without being on camera. This session will not be recorded.

This week’s session is open to Womenclimb Members.

Where?

This exclusive Womenclimb workshop will run on Zoom each Tuesday starting at 6pm. You will receive your invite to the session on a Sunday evening with everything you need to join on Zoom. If you think you haven’t received your email, please check your spam/junk folder.

Requirements

For this session, wear clothes that you are comfortable in. Finding a quiet space may help you to engage fully in the session. Bring along some mark-making equipment; this could be as simple as a pencil and paper. It could be paints, paper and glue, chalks, pastels or any other materials that you would like to use to make marks during the session.

Based in the principles of Trauma Sensitive Yoga, the mindful movements in this workshop are trauma informed. However, this it is not a therapy workshop, although it may feel therapeutic. Find out more: Case Study.

If you have experienced hospital admission within the last six months for trauma-related crisis, this workshop is not suitable for you.

As with all Womenclimb events and workshops, you are responsible for your health, safety and taking responsibility for your participation. These sessions are NOT a substitute for face to face workshops and tuition. You may leave the session at any time.
