Womenclimb North Wales Meetup

2 August 2020 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm BST

We are SO ready for this. Are you?

A weekend of confidence-building climbing in spectacular North Wales.

What's happening?

Meet: 10am

Where we will climb: We will decide closer to the meetup, and split groups according to:

a) social distancing guidelines at the time of the meetup

b) the number of people in the group

c) the experience and skills of group members

d) what people fancy doing

Afterwards: Often we go for a meal, but this time round, bring your camp stove and food and we will find a spot to eat together.

On the Day

We recommend that you arrive early to ensure you join us for our safety briefing and intro and so that we can make our way as a group to our chosen crag. If you have questions, please ask in advance, and if you’re running late, text well before the start time of the meetup.

Tickets for this Meetup are free for Womenclimb members who can tie in, belay and remove climbing gear. If you’re new to outdoor climbing, you are advised to join one of our courses, running this weekend.

Please only order tickets for meetups you 100% intend to attend. If you do need to cancel, please do so at least 7 days in advance, to give others the opportunity to take your place.  If you order a ticket and don’t turn up for the session, you are taking a ticket from someone else who would love the ticket.

How does it work?

This is a peer-to-peer meetup, where you will meet others to climb with. Rules in Wales now say that groups of 30 can meet, so we will not be organising groups in advance (because sometimes people do/don’t turn up unexpectedly). You are responsible for who you climb with and for obtaining relevant insurance (e.g via the BMC).

Whatever happens, you will get:

A friendly, welcoming environment

A supportive group of people to climb with

Who is the host / instructor?

Emily Pitts, Womenclimb Founder & CEO will be your host. If you have additional needs and want more information about how we can support you, please get in touch with Emily: hello@womenclimb.co.uk. Emily is passionate about inclusion and will do her best to adapt her session to meet your needs. Please read our info about dogs at meetups if you are considering bringing a dog to a Womenclimb meetup.

Need a train station pickup?

We cannot currently offer train station collection.

Where to stay

Llanberis has many different types of accommodation including camping, B+B’s and hostels. A Google search will give you the best information for your budget and comfort requirements.
