The mind is everything

The mind is everything

Bouldering woman image1There are many quotes attributable to Buddha, but the one I love the most is this:

“The mind is everything.  What you think, you become.”

This quote embodies everything I believe about being in control of my own future, by being in control of what I think now.  I am able to make things happen and so are you.

This year I am getting strong, agile and smart in my climbing.  I know I have the ability to achieve my goals and I’m working towards my goals through my thinking and doing.

What will you do and how do you plan to achieve what you want?  In climbing and in life…

We’d love to hear your thoughts.

Psychology is so incredibly powerful – last year something unclicked in my head and I’ve been struggling to climb at my potential for a long time. Rationally I know I’ve got the ability, but it’s hard to work out what’s gone wrong in your head!
This year, despite slipping a disc last week, I am determined to regain the confidence on the rock that I’ve had for the last decade. I am going to push my body to remind my brain what I can do. And I am going to cut myself some slack if my lofty goals are not quite achieved.
And I am going to have fun again!
